Too many bands?

How many bands do you deem to be, too many to be in?

At the moment I'm in:

Xmarkz- Acoustic, Goo Goo Dolls style music
Malfunction of Power- Hard Rock/Metal, Tool meets Sabbath

I've got an audition for another band, playing bass under a lead bass. And could also be backing for a local singer song writer.

I don't feel pushed for inspiration or time. Just might have to cut back if I get my music producing course at college.

No such thing as too many bands as long as it's still fun and not stressful. You never know, one of them may actually click and turn out pretty darned good.

It's not the number of bands, it's the number of gigs, rehearsals and other work you have to put into them.

Thumbs up

I bought a bass off a guy once who was doing it for real - full time - and he was in 5 bands!

(He told me the "Carpenters" tribute he was in was booked for 2 weeks on the QE2...so it can obviously work out! - They were on the local news a couple months later as well...)
