Top 3 crowd-pleasing covers?

Interested to hear your favourites from gigs, the ones you know you can rely on the get the crowd going.

Am in a UK band and my top 3 would be:

1. Can't take my eyes of you (punked-up version).
2. American idiot
3. Allright now (cliched I know, but the customer is king right?)

From my experience playing in NYC bars, the 3 songs we play that always seems to get an immediate response from the crowd are:

1. Brown-Eyed Girl (I can't stand this song but, every girl seems to love this song)
2. Mustang Sally
3. Like a Rolling Stone

Very regional I'd say...

I live in Alabama, so as you might guess 'Sweet Home Alabama' is an obligotory song in any band's set around here, whether you're a punk, rock, or hip hop outfit. And after that, pretty much anything by Skynyrd people will scream for (and yes, 'Freebird').

Then of course, there's always...

Mustang Sally-which we refuse to do
Brown Eyed Girl
Come On Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners
Angel of Death by Slayer
Down in the Park by Gary Numan & Tubeway Army

oh wait, this was supposed to be most crowd-pleasing covers Just jokes on the last three of course.

There have been a few similar lists lately and some of the same songs pop up every time, so here are three that people seem to like much more than you would think.

1: Folsom Prison Blues- Johnny Cash

2: Takin' Care of Business- Bad Company

3: Luchenbach, Texas - Waylon Jennings

We play a little bit of everything and these songs always get people dancing. Folsom Prison Blues? Every time, some guy in the back goes "Yeaaaaah!!"

Sweet Home Alabama always goes down well!

Also, 'One Way or Another' - Blondie

and 'Bohemian Like You' - The Dandy Warhols

People ALWAYS go nuts when we play "Too Many Puppies".

I think it suprises people because we are a metal band, and we dont sound anything like Primus. and plus who doesnt love that song?
