Wanna play my wedding for gas money?

Just ran across an ad which has to be a new low... it's in Polish but here's a rough translation:
Quote:
Do you have a band? Are you not famous? No problem!
On August 9th we are organizing a closed mini-festival at ___________ (for the occasion of a wedding). The planned audience is about 150 people. We are looking for bands playing music in the area of rock (especially ska, reggae, blues, possibly gentle metal and punk). We can make a deal to cover your costs. If interested send a demo to ________ or ___________. The band which moves the public the best wins prize money.
I don't think this idea will catch on... wedding guests, especially once they're drunk, won't care much for the kind of bands that this guy might be able to get, especially considering that a Polish wedding needs at least six hours of music.

he'll find a band, but I think it's sad that they are so cheap that they want a band to play for nothing. Prize money? Notice how they don't specify what it is. Or how the "winner" will be determined.

A terrible idea. Why not ask the guests to bring their own food too?

Maybe as a prize the winning band gets to shag the bride and bridesmaids.

If they can afford a wedding for 150 guests, assuming they are feeding all of them and having liquor, they can afford to pay a band at least a couple hundred bucks or something.

I think they'll find "you get what you pay for."
