Web Site Advice

I just registered a domain with hostbaby for my band Buffalo buffalo buffalo and I'm in the process of building a website from scratch. I'm on the fence as to whether to leave it as a click-through to the facebook page and maybe add a calendar and mailing list signup for right now until the full site is done or whether to use one of their templates to build a fully functional filler site until the full site is ready, so I come to my fellow TBers for input.

In the process of setting up my band's website in WordPress. It's easy & there are a bunch of plugins available. You can also use a pre-fab layout from reverb nation but I think it costs money.

I say use a template for now until the full site is available. you only get one good first impression and with millions of bands thats huge. I find sites with only a calender and a link to a facebook page janky and immature. you want your fans WANTING to look at it, not click away from it...
