What do you guys do about gig pix and audio clips when band mates leave?

I have a situation where we have great pix showing a band with former members.

If you're an active band... Leave them up until your new members are solid and you know they are there to stay for a while.

EspECIally if you've invested thousands into really pro vids and pics.

That's my thought.. if I own the name, logo, URL, brochures etc.. and they bail.. they become part of the history.

Just because they left the band (got fired?) doesn't mean the band is over. The band still exists and as stated previously they are now a part of that bands history. Keep the pics and clips up. The only stipulation is that you don't have pics of the former members with notations like "this guy is a POS motha *&^%$#$!". That would not be cool and could get you into some ugly and potentially legal, issues. But other than that it's all part of what made your band what it is. Keep em up.

I would keep them up until you get new photos, videos, and music up with the new members. It will be important for the new members to have their presence acknowledged eventually. I hated it when I joined a band after their bassist quit, and the CDs we were pushing at the show had the other guy on it. I know it's part of the history, but you're writing history now with the new players, so I would work hard to get new stuff going.

Thanks...

Long story short.. I'm starting a new project... am considering evolving the former into the new one.

Would help to establish the new one to have gig pix etc.

Tim
