Just thought I would post here if anyone cares my lifetime dream is to be in a band. I went to my first audition and it was totally a success they were more worried I wasnt into them, then me worried I wasnt good enough LOL..

I built up a lot of nervousness for no reason..

oh and on a side note the Aguilar GS112s with the GK700 RB sound monsterous holy sweet mother of god, those cabs have some nice low end.. They were all shocked just on my tone. LOL

Thats all nothing new to 99% of ya to me it was a huge step as a musician. I went from bedroom player to musician..

I just got the Aguilar GS410 this past week and though to myself why had I not found it before. These cabs growl. Period. Easily the best sounding rock cab I have ever played.

I think you were a musician before, too. You just took the next step. Best of luck to you and your band!

Hey, I joined my first band at age 48. The first band was OK, I liked them, but after a month or so I began to think they would never really get a gig. Not that I expected them to in a month's time, I could just tell it was going to be a slow go. Second band was better, at least potentially, but way too much drinking and smoke. Third band is going places I think. It was pure luck that got me that gig. Right place right time.

yeah im 34 years old, this band has talent, the drummer is ultra tight, guitarist writes some seriously crushing riffs, and the singer is good and can actually sing.

They were having a hard time finding a melodic heavy music styled bass player ala Tool, Deftones, etc. Which I like those styles so I just fit in..

Now got to learn all there material and its difficult music alot of timing changes and changes in general, there technical.. But im glad its over and im in..

Good for you!

I just joined my first bands (I am in 2 gigging bands currently) in over 15 years and I am 38!!!

I just took time off to get married, have kids, buy a house, get a good job, etc.
