Talk about having to play well.....I had to do a blues/country gig with no drummer. The guy just didn't show up. On Purpose!
The gig went fine.....the audience understood our situation and everybody had a great time...lots of dancing going on.

You will be fine. Like someone else said....you can't imagine the education you are gonna get!

Peace, John

Well whaddaya know? We were hired for this gig through one of those "hire a band" websites, and I was anxious about what kind of feedback the customer might leave about the band after the gig.

They left glowing feedback! Among other things, the person said the music was excellent and that we were very professional! Did he hear the same thing I was hearing? What a relief though. It was our first gig through that site. Now there may be others coming, since we got that glowing feedback. And that's very good, since these gigs pay a lot better than clubs.

a loop pedal would be your rythm guitarists best friend. seriously. If he's a ok/good musician, and has a good sense of timing, it shouldnt be a problem. less work to set up another lead guitarist who could flake out on you, and less people to split the profits of a gig with

I'm glad it all worked out for you though - nice job on the improv capo!
