| I've been using LEDs with the company I work with for a few years now. I always programmed ours with alternating channel assignments, so I could get two color looks at the same time. I would programs scenes in with two different colors and just use the scene buttons, and maybe blend the colors a little with the controls to get a few more looks.
We used to have some of the first generation color changing lights that had three bulbs in them, a red, a blue and a green like most of the LED fixtures, but just one large bulb of each color. They sucked. You needed a 20 amp circuit for ONE fixture. The LEDs I have now use .02 amps so I can put like 100 the amount of lights on one circuit. I usually run all of our LEDs, usually 12-18 on one extension cord! The three watt LEDs are as bright as some par cans, something like a 500 watt par 56, without the heat.
