Um, I hate to say it, but I would be very surprised if you ever see that money. Where is he going to lay his hands on that kind of jack?? A grand MORE than he needs to live on? He's probably counting on the future gig income to cover other expenses that he can't dodge; rent, food, gas, pimp, bookie, dealer........
Maybe he can scratch up that kind of dough, some people can but most can't.
Good luck, I think you need it..... |

Good luck, I think you need it..... | Supposedly, he's doing a bunch of acoustic shows this weekend... Mine was $375, the other guys were $225 each. He's been informed that if he wants us there, we need cash before Friday.

Which it may not, the guy is a liar. You present a very good question though, a real bummer. | Musicians are their own worst enemies. Play a gig on the hopes that he might pay you for the last one? Because of the heart attack lie, I would not waste money on gas, tell him to meet you some where convenient for you prior to the gig with cash or you don't play.

He also posted pictures from Ford Field yesterday (he lives in Warsaw, IN)... Looked to be pretty good seats - corner of the end zone, lower level... I texted him back. Told him he had 24 hours to get me my money or he was going to need a defense attorney because I was calling the prosecutor's office check frauds division.

As the OP said, writing a bad check is fraud, and I'd be going to the police if he hasn't paid up. I hate thieves, and people rarely write bum checks by accident. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
