What's the most modern tune on your set list (covers)?

My band's is probably a country cover- maybe "Country Girl Shake It For Me". What's yours?

Smoke A Little Smoke - Eric Church - 2009

And we're not primarily a country band....

I'd love to add Country Girl even though I'm not a big country fan... But the one guitar player thinks we can't do it because we don't have a fiddle and a banjo in the band.....

We do Country Girl, no fiddle or banjo here...

We're about to add Cruise by Florida Georgia Line... Not because we like it, because we get way too many requests from drunk girls, and I'm tired of arguing about it. Also adding Truck Yeah.

We actually find out what's going to be released somewhere around the right before we go on and play that song.

Gold on the Ceiling, by the Black Keys.

Our guitarist/BL is always pushing tunes from acts like Eddie Money, Blue Oyster Cult and Bad Company, while I'm pushing Black Keys and Cold War Kids. He's BL so he usually wins, but this one made the list although he usually makes a comment about how "gay" it is. Last gig we had, guess which song had the ladies flooding the dance floor...

We do Lonely Boy by the Black Keys. Has to be the easiest bass line ever written but it's still fun to play and I get to set a serious groove with the drummer.

Sorry, I misread the question. I thought you asked for my favorite cover tune that we do.

2012 songs played at gigs so far with one band:

Beez In The Trap - Nicki Minaj/2 Chainz
Disparate Youth - Santigold
Your Drums, Your Love - AlunaGeorge (I guess this one is the newest)

Not played at gigs, but worked on in rehearsal and could play them:
Get Free - Major Lazer/Amber Coffman
Liquorice - Azealia Banks
Shotgun - Rochelle Jordan
Starships - Nicki Minaj

Another band:

Gangnam Style - Psy
Got 2 Luv U - Sean Paul/Alexis Jordan (2011 single from a 2012 album, so I guess that maybe counts)

Third band, working on this song for a show next week:

Ona Tańczy Dla Mnie - Weekend

My duo just started playing Chris Cornell's "The Keeper" (2011). Fantastic song. That's the newest song by a long stretch.

My band does a few tracks off Temple Of The Dog ("Hunger Strike", "Wooden Jesus" and "All Night Thing") - 1991.
