Wherd do you find "bassist wanted" listings?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am looking for a new project and am really unsure where to look for "bass player wanted" ads in the SF bay area.
Craigslist has been a resource, but the more the better.

Anyone have specific resources for finds bands/projects/gigs?

CL seems to be THE source. There is SFMusician, but the last time I was there it was being redesigned and few people seemed to be using it. Try the old-fashioned method, go to your local shops and put up a flyer. Half the world must go through the San Jose GC and Guitar Showcase!

Well, I just checked and it's still there:

Don't know if you have a Recycler online but it is a pretty good source down here in SoCal.

I know it's not specific for you guys in the states, but I use a Melbourne-only music website which has classifieds, a musicians wanted/available section, and plenty of music discussion in general. Not a very intelligent at times, but there is a lot of experience there. Highly recommended if you live in Victoria. :P

Check local colleges too. Go to the music dept and check those bulletin boards.
