Seems like every cover band i've heard of has the corniest name (yes, plenty of you TBer's have really corny cover band names, i've checked your profiles).

there was this one in my area called "the breakfast club". can you get any fricking cheesier?

Tribute acts have the best names. Some of the best ones I've seen :-

Wevie Stunder (Stevie Wonder)
Earth Wind for Hire (Earth Wind and Fire)
No Way Sis (Oasis)
Oas-ish (also Oasis)

There is a band in the State College, PA called Velveeta...it doesn't get any cheesier that that.

People like cheesy, tacky stuff.

Ever notice that it's the cheesy, tacky songs that fill the dance floor and the good songs are the "let's get a beer and talk" songs?

If your name is "novel" enough to get remembered, or if you have some cheesy schtick (like wearing white tuxedos with pink bowties and pink cummerbunds) and that gets people to either notice or remember you- that's the game, dawg.

I played with "The Incredibles" in the 60's. We did consider "The Cinnamon fog" as an alternative..... seemed groovy

you bet. you've seen them i'm guessing?

i saw them at a bar one night (i didn't go for the music, i went for the bar) and hilarity ensued. the lead singer got into a fight with the guitarist, so the lead singer sat at the bar for a couple songs while the guitarist brought up his buddy to sing. some classy flicking off between the guitarist and lead singer ensued and after a couple of songs with the replacement, the lead singer came back and finished out the set.

what a joke.
