One of the bands I play in just lost our guitarist and we are looking for a replacement. We are basically an oldies band with a bit of a gimmick. The gimmick is that we put tunes we know into a hat and let the audience pick what songs they want to hear but we also take request. The ideal canidate would be very, very familiar with the music of the 60's and able to do request and tunes on the fly, so-to-speak, in the appropriate style of the era. This is NOT a project for a guitarist that fancies himself Jimi Hendrix or SRV or Van Halen, if you know what I mean. It's a fun group and everybody is pretty easy going.
