I've got an audition with these guys tonight www.drlongwoodband.com

I've never met them or scene them. They want me to just step up and play a set cold. It's typical cover band fare, and I know all of the songs from past bands. The wild card will be their key and arrangement changes, if any. I hope I get this, they work every weekend, and I could use the money. This would go a long way in breaking me outta my recent bad luck streak. Keep your finger crossed for me. I would, but that would make it difficult to play

Good luck buddy!

The least they could've done is given you a chord sheet or something

Wow, that was fun. Good band, high energy. They played and sounded great. Great crowd. I'd be happy to land this gig. I played well, nothing gound breaking. But then again, that's hard to do on stuff like Jenny (867-5309) I already sent them a thank you eMail, and expressed my interest in taking it farther. I hope this works.

Cool I hope it works out for you.

Did they try a different bass player per set or did they only play one set?

Hope you get the gig!! It can be pretty nerve wracking trying out with a band during a gig, but it does show how well you can adapt on the fly.

Let us know if you land it.

They said I played and sounded great, but they've decided to offer the gig to the fill-in guy. Not that it matters, but I know I'm a better player. I get the feeling I got jerked around a bit here. I'm disappointed, but I'll live. Thanks to you all for the kind words and best wishes. You folks rock !

That's too bad. But there was probably something else, he may have been friends with one of the band, they thought having a sound guy would save money.

But at least they got back to you. It is worse when they just leave you hanging.
