I like the idea of playing originals, people seem cool enough, and they have gigging experience/are actively pursuing gigs (which my cover band is NOT really doing).

What do you think of the music?

The original crowds at shows are usually small, but on the other hand they are cool and are not the type that want to hear a band play Any Way You Want It by Journey.Not that theres anything wrong with that.

Sounds like the frame work for a good move for you.

I was in a similar situation, questioning how I felt aboout being in an originals band.it worked out good for me.

I like original bands - gives a player a chance to stretch out. No money, of course - but fun.
