Oh ya! But only if it was the theme of the gig/night... We try to dress it up a little on gigs, so I'm saying I wouldn't be the only one in pj's or something.

Yes, but only if all band members were dressed up in like that. But I can't figure out a single good reason why you'd ever do that....

Btw, isn't pyjamas the right spelling of that word?

yeah, about 20 years ago I played a gig wearing sweat pants and club owner asked me to wear something decent next time!
then about ten years ago, I was a playing at a club that everyone would come to extremely casual, and then I did it again, and the club owner made fun of me but basically told me it wasn't ok.
well, i was trying, my next step was going to be PJ's! lol

My best bud, (and drummer) ONLY plays in pajamas. He says he just can't get comfy playing drums in jeans/pants. As long as he's throwin' out some mad beats........in time, I don't care a bit.

Me.....I'll stick with my pants/jeans/shorts.

This. And I'd go all out too, with a robe, nightcap, and bunny slippers. I mean, there's no sense it just wearing sweats and a T-shirt and pretending like you're dressed up in pyjamas.

I used to play in a Dave Matthews Band cover thing. So, yes, I have played in my PJs. Now, it consisted of plaid flannel pants and a t-shirt...but, yes.

Gasp, horrors.

I was going to make some remark about being properly attired to perform, but reviewing the above comments, I see the Philistines have taken over.

Even Worse

We used to play a regular job at a small club, show up one weekend, new manager,..he informs us that we will be playing upstairs in the balcony We try to reason with him,...telling him the crowd wont like it..we'll be totally removed from interacting with the crowd, etc,..he won't listen,..so,..we haul our gear up the VERY steep stairs to the balcony,..set up,...and right before we go on,.. we all come out sans pants. Well,..all but the guitard,..he was going commando,...soooo,......anyway,..next time we were back,...there was no argument from the manager on sitting up on the floor.
