Just discovered this website yesterday called SyncLive.
Just thought some of you would appreciate the heads up.

http://www.synclive.com
It's built as a platforms for bands to host their concerts online via live streaming.

check out a couple of shows , some suck quality-wise, but some are awesome, all depends on your camera and the venues internet connection.

Whats your opinion on this? Would you use for the fans that cant make it to the show?

I've thought about doing something similar as a one of thing. I don't think the results would be great unless you've got multiple cameras - in which case you require a relativly advanced set up on site, at least three people to run it all, and can probably figure out how to do the streaming yourself.

However if you treat it as a bit of a novelty, then you could probably get some publicity out of it - more people would probably take notice and think it's cool, rather than actually watch it.

well i must say I spent some time on the site, browsing around
and I love the idea of being able to hop on a server a watch a live jam session in a city 1000 miles away

the venues cant have multiple cameras in this case, unless they can hook up more then one to their computer. then again Synclive probably doesnt allow it.

to have a crew is the ideal solution but one little camera doing the trick is good enough to get a little more online exposure for your shows
