well, I've just been offered a full time job for 2 weeks, overall pay will be about £500.

my guitarist is giving me an earful because it will stop us from practising more than once a week. I can see why it would be annoying, but it's not like we're practising any more than that anyway.

It's almost as ifn he's blaming me for the 'iminent' downfall of the band (which, by the way, isn't going to happen any time soon).

I dunno what to do, am i in the wrong for accepting a full time job? but surely I can't be expected to turn down half a grand. Surely.

Only two weeks, still get to practice at least once during that time, go for it. Maybe one of these days, money won't be an issue, but until then...

+1 it's only skipping rehearsal. If you ditch pre obligated shows it's another story.

first off, always put your life in front of the band. got a better gig, take it. job needs more of your time, spend it. want more time with the family, do it. secondly, as mentioned before, if its only for two weeks, whats the big deal???

Your guitarist is being a selfish idiot. Ignore him and take the job.

Ask your guitarist to pay you £250 a week to rehearse with him.

If not, ask him to pay your rent and feed you...

If he refuses to do that, then take the job.
