Maybe "form" a band is more accurate. We're going to get together soon for a jam to see if it clicks. Singer and drummer are already together. The guitarist I know well, he is from a band I used to be in. They've been wanting to put something together and my name came up. This is a first, for me. I haven't been playing bass very long and I'm not well known as a bassist in this area. It isn't like I have bands beating on my door to come out and play.

So the singer emails and asks if I'm interested. I told him yes, especially if I can also stay with the band I'm in now. It will probably work, being in two bands. I've been with this other band for about 5 months, but we've slowed down. No gigs at present, except for one "maybe" gig in January and a few gigs in May (yes, May).

He sent me a tentative song list last night. Classic rock & blues mainly, and I already know close to half of the songs. Should be fun.

Way to go. Sounds like you may have time for both.
