Here's what we're playing for an upcoming opening act gig, (they're not in any particular order). Not exactly finger-busters on bass, but that's not the goal.

I'd appreciate your thoughts:

Panama - Van Halen
Round and Round - Ratt
Slither - Velvet Revolver
Bad Girlfriend - Theory of a Deadman
Sexy Little Thing - Chickenfoot
Sing Me Away - Night Ranger
Renegade - Styx
Crazy Bitch - Buckcherry
Runnin' with the Devil - Van Halen
Heading Out to the Highway - Judas Priest

Sounds like an awesome setlist to me. I really would like to hear Panama. And crazy bitch is gonna be a good one, thats hilarious, dont get rid of it. Round and Round is also gonna be kickass. Its better than my setlist, way better.

Much of this really depends on your goals and how close to a pop cover band you want to be.

I'd be leaning toward more popular stuff (to the masses).

MNAirHead - The band we're opening only plays songs from about '83 to '91 and mostly Hair and Shred Metal along with some Hard Rock. Not a lot of pop tunes, so we tried to tailor our songs to the audience.

Gerhn Blanston - Thanks...I'm kinda digging blowing the dust of some of these 'gems'. I kinda wish I could watch the show and see how it goes.
