Or
Mark Shatz and Roy Husky Jr. on Mark's solo CD
How about you?

jc | Does the older edition have no duets? I have neither CDs nor book handy (courtesy of RCN/21st Century, cable company from hell (as if any aren't from hell) I have no internet access at home), so I'm not sure if the duets which appear there included pieces from the CDs or not.

Or....the tape is produced by Warner Brothers Publications, and the number is VH0381. WB's address is 15800 NW 48th Avenue, Miami, Fl 33014. |

| | | | Bottesini's Passione Amoroso is ALWAYS a crowd pleaser. - For a performance, Gary Karr/Ermanno Ferrari/Harmon Lewis have a recording that was put out in 1999. There are others but this is the easiest to locate. |

Also for a bass trio, try Superbass and Superbass 2 with Ray Brown, Christian McBride and John Clayton.

Also Dave Young's three CD set of piano and bass duets are great.

That's Paul Chambers and Charlie Haden, right? They both have that really deep, thumpy gut tone.

And Everyone should check out the amazing duet records with Gary Peacock and Ralph Towner. Unreal. |

| | | | Hi
I am looking for two things :"
1) A transcription of that fantastic bass line by NHOP with Oscar Peterson playing 'Carnival'
2) A live video version of Elm by Erik Satie
Many thanks!

Otherwise, I love the superbass stuff. There are a few more versions of stuff from Superbass 2 on the Ray Brown "Walkin' On" compilation.
Otherise Jim Hall & Ron cater on "Telephone" and "Alone Together". The latter kicks ass.
Oh yeah, Houston Person & Ron Carter too. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
