Just want to say first - I love this place. Thanks for all the advice and inspiration.

I recorded this thing while trying to develop my solo sound - I am getting stuck in a rut as I develop better technique. What I am finding is that often I am playing really unmusical lines just because my hands can do the leap or play the scale, arpeggio etc.. Anyway I ´wrote´ this little dittie to be a little different from what I am used to playing now (straight ahead, world music, blues and such). This kind of mirror of course exposes all kinds of weaknesess which is an added plus.

You can also see the first couple songs on my profile, which are all the same kinda bass improv tapes - just in case the other link doesn't work all the time.

Waddaya think - also interested in hearing what you think about the sound of this cheapo bass - sorry about the mic noise, I record through a headset mic, lol - better than the pickup sound.

keep it on the one,

Charles

Charles;

Keep up the work. I can barely figure out the part for one bass. It takes creativity to think up and execute 4 parts.

Nicely done.
