 Boleros Cubanos
Hi,
Could any of the Latin bassists and enthusiasts out there hip me to some must-have records or key composers of Cuban Bolero? Mr. Henriquez??
I'm visiting Cuba in June for the first time and I believe there is a Boleros festival in Havana then so I'd love to be more familiar with some of the old Cuban ballads/standards (I have the Haden/rubalcaba stuff and am looking to dig deeper).
While we're at it, anyone know of some jam sessions in Havana?
Hopefully this thread may be of use to others also interested in this beautiful music.
