| Contrabass in Lounge Music
I was going to start a thread on what you guys think are the iconic sounds of contrabass in contemporary music, my untutored choice is the theme to Get Carter (yeah, hi noob), but then I started thinking that this is 'lounge' rather than jazz or anything else, and some people may view this term pejoratively.
So after learning it on the cello (noob, again) I did some searches around here, but there is no mention of the genre.
What is the relationship between lounge and jazz? Is it something that you guys like to play?
Any listening recommendations would be most welcome!
