Dan Styffe - Bass Trip

I just got it last night. It has to be the most beautiful album of contemporary bass pieces I have heard. There are lots of great ones, but this one is just filled with very contemporary and very beautiful pieces.
The Arvo Pärt and Vasks pieces are particularly good. Styffe's other two are great but this one is really special.

Yes, it's a great album. I'm recording Bass Trip in a recital in one month.

Nice, it is a great piece besides the name! I checked out some other music by Vasks, he has some great Choral and Organ works.

Check out Vasks' violin concerto "Distant Light". There's a great recording by Anthony Marwood. It's the piece (and the violinist) that motivated me to take on learning Bass Trip in the first place.
