New guy wants some tunes

I'm not smart. I'm wanting to get into DB, but... I don't listen to many Double Bassists or specific songs that have some great bass in them. I'd like to hear from multiple genres. Jazz, Classical, Rockabilly/Psycobilly anything cool.

Judging by your profile, I bet Brian Bromberg's Wood would get your woody . . .

Thanks Samuel, I'm downloading a couple of Brian Bromberg's tunes right now. And thanks for the link Buddy Lee.

Wow Bromberg is amazing! I didn't know Double Bass could be that funky! His version of The National Anthem is amazing!

Check out the classical stuff

Check out these players f.x. on Amazon.com, you will love'em

Edgar Meyer, Bach suites or the Bottesini concerto
Duncan Mctier, everything he does is quality
Jorma Katrama, finnish guy, nice player

And for some real original bassgoodies
L'orchestre de contrebasses (you will love'em, and you have to see them live, they're more than music, they make theatre out of it)
