New(ish) Music

Hey Folks,

After a long bout with procrastin-itis, I finally got around to updating the music page on my website. Couple of studio things with Bill Carrothers on piano and Michael Sarin on drums, and a live track with Angelica Sanchez on piano and Mr. Sarin. One hopes you find it enjoyable. You can find them here.

Thanks,

Whew! Lovely sounding recording, lovely playing! I could listen to Angelica Sanchez all day, man.

Post up when the album comes out. Thank you for sharing!

Awesome. Great compositions. Great playing. Everyone sounds fantastic.

I think Michael Sarin is one the the most underrated drummers out there. At least here in Chicago few people know him outside of Ben Allison's projects. Great feel and great creativity. Real nice guy too in the little bit I've talked to him.

Definitely keep us up to date on the cd release. If you ever come to Chicago I'll be there. If you need any logistical help while in town I might be able to do something there too.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I can really use some positive energy these days....

The CD's ready to go, I just need to scrape up the bread to get it pressed. Then the fun starts.

Sam - yeah, Angie's bad. I've known her for almost 13 years, but we just started playing together about 2 years ago. Was worth the wait.

Marc - Mike should be better known. In NYC, too. He seems to be in Europe a lot, and has a family and lives in Jersey, so he's not 'on the scene' as much as he was; those of us who know him are certainly glad he's around. I think Ben's gonna be at the Mill again in March, so don't miss that. I'm trying for some Chicago gigs this year, so I'll keep you posted.

Anyway, thanks again for listening and for the nice feedback.
