Both sessions off of my Myspace were recorded in one room. The engineer brings a mobile unit, places a couple mics on the piano and one for bass and drums. He likes taking direct from the pickup as well. Last time, the drums were triggering a compressor that he had placed on the mic, hence me getting a more ampy sound. This time, I specified that I wanted a more natural sound, so he brought a mic shield that kept the drums from bleeding in too much from the mic. This helped get a very clear and natural sound with the mic. The engineer also took a direct sound from the Full Circle, running it through a preamp (Universal Audio Solo 610) and mixed that in.

Hey Ed, we recorded at Don Sickler's rehearsal studio. The engineer was Robin Lai, he brings his own gear as long as you pay for his taxi fare. He has great mics and really portable equpiment. PM me if you ever need a guy with a mobile rig, this man has great ears!
