shades of jade...

by marc johnson is a really beautiful record. also have been digging "adobe" by tony malaby- trio with drew gress and paul motian. great sounds from a couple of bassists who seem to generate some controversy around here.

Hi,

I don't know about anycontroversy, but I'm listening to Shades of Jade at the moment..or bits of it anyway.
Its a replay of a music programme on ABC radio national ( in Australia) called the Planet.

I wasnt aware of Marc, or this recording before today..oh well, more listening for me then.

Very enjoyable listening by the way.

cheers

Stew.

wow! I'd never heard of that, will have to look out for it. I can't imagine anything I'd like more than paul motian and drew gress playing together...
