Suggest a good, clear(audible bass)rec of Come rain or come shine

Good morning, highly esteemed ones. Forgive my slabbist feet muddying the sacred halls of TB DB. I have accepted a last-minute fill-in gig- jazz standards, most of which I have heard and love but never learned. I have the keyboardist's charts and a fake/real book or two but wanted to develop a feel for several tunes on the list via listening. The aforementioned song in particular is a tough one for me- I've studied Ella's cut but can't make out the bass in a few places- can anyone suggest a good, available-online/iTunes recording to avoid butchering this song? Thank you

There is a fine version on Art Pepper's "Intensity". I haven't listened to it in a while but I remember Jimmy Bond's bass being audible and very nice.

Thanks, guys- I appreciate any/all help. That said I am bogging down to the point of considering bailing- the gig is tonight & I need to study 3 dozen+ tunes... there is a keyboardist- I asked the BL/singer if it would kill it to be bassless. I hang my head in shame...

Edit: It's official, I am weak/pulling out. In my defense I shall work on the list in case the chance occurs again. BL was very understanding, and the regular guy stepped back in- I intend to try and work out a lesson from him to get a feel for the stuff. Lastly- and perhaps best- Ill do it on my DB(was planning to gig on the twanger to make it easy). Lifting head slightly...

Not to unduly harsh, AND listening to good music is always a Good Thing to do, but I'm not sure what you were trying to accomplish with your request. With a standard like CRorCS, you're pretty much going to be walking the changes, the idea is to have some familiarity with the concept rather than pulling bass line off of a specific recording. That way you aren't stuck with the choices that somebody else made playing that tune at a different tempo with a different bunch of musicians and instead can actually interact with the people YOU are playing with.
It is a little different if somebody calls SHADE OF JADE or PUNJAB and you haven't heard those before....

Well, the charts I have are someone else's notes, and although I've heard the song many times, I'm very inexperienced in jazz and wanted to get as familiar w/the song as possible. Of course Im seeing differences in interpretation in each version, so the consistent parts are what Im mostly listening for. And I've come to expect what some might call *harshness* over here- I can take(some of)it- when it gets to be too much I'll fill out a butthurt form, take my bass and go home.

Edit: Sometimes the root is not obvious(to me)- it helps to hear clearly what might work.
