SuperBass 2

Just checked out this recording with Ray B. Christian McBride and John Clayton. Why have I never heard of this before? It kicks gargantuan amounts of ass!!! My fave, Christian McWow's down-home arco solo on Monk's Misterioso. Has anyone else heard about this?

There are two of them:

"Superbass" (recorded live at Scullers in 1996), and "Superbass 2" (recorded live at The Blue Note in 2000) - very tasty playing... think I'll take a listen... thanks for reminding me...

Hard to say......?

You don't get out enough - to Jazz gigs?
Don't read the right magazines - like Jazz Times?
Don't frequent the right sites - like Jazz Corner?

etc etc.

Well - he asked!!

But I didn't add that, because it's not about what you play, but more what you listen to and read about.
