This is Sonny Stitt's solo on After You've Gone, from Stitt's Bits. It's a serious uptempo bebop tour de force, and I do my best to scamper a long with the master.
I'll post a better one in a few days once I don't have to read it anymore and can secure a non-iphone recording device.
Really great work as a sight-reading !
You really have an amazing sense of tempo and a really strong intonation. It's sad (for us, bassists/viewers) that we don't clearly see your astonishing German bow playing.
Anw, really good job, waiting for the final 'cleaner' version to be finally stunned ... ;)
Good music and good bass to you,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=569uzCK3oJE Here's my 2nd attempt, better and worse. Made sure to show the bowing though!
Really great work!
I'd love to hear you improvising with the bow. Do you have any recordings out?
Congrats Alex ! Nice to see your bow, and thanks for reposting it !
I wish you best luck in your career and wait for others astonishing covers!
Good music and good bass,
F**k both of you guys. :)
This is awesome! Im knocked out by how good it is.
Thanks for sharing Alex, it really is a superb performance.
