Unconventional use of a Baby Bass

One of 3 videos of my band FOG ( Four Old Guys ). I played Fender Jazzes all my life, then got bored. I have been using this Ramirez Caribbean for a year now. What do you think ?

Sounds fine-you could stand to dig in a little more, though. You'll get a fatter, more upright-like tone. Check out some of the threads on pizz technique.

I think it's great! Nice playing, cool tune and I like the band.

I agree that digging in with the right hand would help the bass come forward a bit in the mix. I would like to hear a bit more of the bass :-)

I would like more bass on the recording too, but it was recorded live to stereo, no separate tracks. So we got what we got. Here is another one.

I started playing 4 string electric bass when I was 14. If you had told me then, that at the age of 62 I would still be playing music ( and mostly the same material !! ) I would have said you are crazy !!!

You've got the notes, the time, it's all there. All that's missing is the tone. Play it like an upright and you're there.
