Where to find Jazz DVDs?

Does anyone know where to find good jazz dvds (outside of Amazon etc.)? There are so many good clips on YouTube that I can’t seem to find on dvd anywhere. Examples that I like and can’t find are:
  • Pat Metheny Trio (esp. with C. McBride & A. Sanchez)
  • Herbie Hancock Trio with McBride and DeJohnette (not the one w/ Cobham & Carter)
  • Herbie Hancock with Wayne Shorter, Dave Holland, Brian Blade
  • Dave Holland Solo (the clip shows Goodbye Porkpie Hat similar to the track from Ones All)
These are just some of many similar clips. The camera work is very professional on all of these so they can't be bootlegs. After googling I’ve seen a couple UK sites that list similar titles but they are scant on details and only allow paypal. I'd like to find something in the US if possible (or at least a TB trusted UK/Euro site if no US shop is available). Does anyone have any ideas on where to look??

As there seems to be a lot of material, I would have thought there would have been a number of accessible places to buy these. I guess this goes to my second question which is does anyone know why there is so much stuff out there that appears captured for commercial use but yet seems commercially inaccessible - and yet somehow obtainable as people have been able to post it to YouTube?

Thanks for any help!

for your first question, I would recommend looking at Netflix.com.
A lot of good jazz videos there.

second, there are ways to "capture" videos that are pretty involved, and I don't want to get into it here.

UK JazzWise magazine has a shop that sells a lot of Jazz DVDs

http://www.jazzwise.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=10

They have a lot more - cause I've bought them - but usually what happens is that they send out mailshots - try to get on their list - there always seems to be something that I want to buy, when it comes round!

I've had good luck with Amazon.

Abstractlogix.com

AudiophileImports.com

Both are great sites and have a good deal of DVD's and CD's that are in some cases hard to find.

Peace

Thanks for the responses.

I have tried looking at all the sites suggested and can find none of the videos I am looking for and have listed above. The only thing I have not done yet is write to JazzWise (although I am doubtful as they do not seem to list anything remotely similar). You may want to check out some of the clips on YouTube; I think they represent some great music with good, professional camera work, etc., and yet do not seem to be very commercially accessible.

I have already been through Amazon and I'm not talking about anything that is available there such as the Pat Metheny Group or Herbie's Hurricane Trio. These particular videos (and many like them) are not on Amazon, Netflix, Ebay, etc. Some may be imports - I think one shows something in Japanese and the other in French. With the internet and today’s global economy, however, I would have thought it would be easier to find them.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I've got a few of those. The Dave Holland Solo stuff I put up on youtube and I actually have more I was going to add but I'm not sure when I'll really have time to do it. Maybe in the summer. Also I have some hancock, shorter, holland, and dejhonette stuff. I got them all from DIME which has bit torrents of many legal recordings both audio and video. It's a great resource as I probably have over a hundred Jazz DVD's and countless recordings that barely anyone else has.
