This this the perfect bass intro of one of my favourite jazz tunes. The tone of the bass in such a nice concert hall is perfect. Playing is really beautiful. Nice work!
Thanks for listening and for your kind words.

This is me and my brother coverin Herbie Hancocks Watermelon man. Bass solo is a bit sloppy but I don't solo much! A bit messy at some points!
Comments and critique please!

So many talented people, humbling.

Here's some vids of me playing in Nashville with Moot Davis.

first rehearsal with the new band last year at Jam Coffeehouse: Moot Davis at the jAm - YouTube

at Layla's Bluegrass Inn: Moot Davis - Queensbury Rules - Bluegrass Inn, Nov 5 - YouTube

I hate watching myself, all I notice are the flubs and bad technique.

Short solo bass ipod video. All two handed plucked harmonics á la Scodaibbio. The bass was responding particularly well to the today - the right amount of "pluck" + ring:

It is just fingering the harmonic with your thumbs and plucking with a finger.
Scodanibbio used three fingers at times but I prefer the volume and force I get with one finger and using the whole hand for the power.

They're Helicor Hybrids, medium. No amp on stage, recorded with an Oktava MK-101.

My band, All The Queens Ravens - we play an eclectic mix of blues, folk, country and flamenco. Its a promo video (the music was recorded live with hidden mics) so there's a minute of interview beforehand that you can skip. Don't shoot me for the side dots on my bass!

Nice. Those are the loosest looking strings I have ever seen. What are they?

Here's one from a week or so ago. The actual tune featured starts at about 1:20 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=Lx4Yp7JVGjY
