Fender Custom Shop Bass Stolen/Taken in Atlanta,GA

I am the bass player in the house band at Kramer's in Buckhead. My bass guitar was accidentally left in the parking lot upon loadout around 2:15 AM on Feb 25. I went back to get it about 30 minutes later and it was gone.
It's a 2005 Limited Edition Custom Shop 58 NAMM Precision bass, in sunburst, gold guard, and maple neck.
Needless to say, I am very stressed out right now. The serial number is CZ52146.

Thanks
Daniel

Update! Bass was found! A good samaritan picked it up last night, found my TalkBass thread through a Google search and gave me a call! There are still some good people in this world!

Fabulous outcome. Your stars were lined up right. I hope you at least offered to by that person a beer! Or a nice dinner!

Awesome happy ending! Congrats.

Load-in, load-out presents the best opportunities for thieves. Musicians, don't take chances and always watch each other's backs. Better to be anal-retentive and err on the side of caution than the alternative.

Beautiful bass BTW. I would have been heartbroken if it were mine and not recovered.

Man, that is the most incredibly honest person I have ever heard of. Not only did he do the right thing, he also had to work to do the right thing. Nice gesture. Most people would have been off like a thief in the night.

This is a great story! And an excellent reminder to check all the gear before splitting!
