Angry Had my favorite bass stolen from me

Sign in to disble this ad
So i was on the way home from worship team practice and i got a call from a few buddies who were skating at the skate park at steel lake. I went in to hang out with them for a bit, leaving my bass in the car(which i NEVER do but i was in a hurry) and it was stolen out of my car. To make matters worse it was the bass i used at my first gig and held an incredible amount of sentimental value. Why are people so pathetic that they feel the need to steal something that important to someone?

Edit: probably the wrong category but i'm not really focused on that right now

Dude that sucks! Hope you have insurance on it. Unfortunately thieves don't care about sentimental value. Do they have any type of surveillance cameras at that park? Maybe someone saw something? Did you call the police? I had a friend have a bass stolen from his home, and he contacted every pawn shop, repair shops, and friends in the area. HE GOT IT BACK, and the thief was arrested!

+1 on this. Filing a report could help. Waiting a week to do it won't do a lot though.

Call pawn shops, look on craigslist. Put an ad on cl offering a reward. Call the cops. Make sure you have your serial numbers.

I think this must be why people get their names inlaid on the fretboard.

Sorry to hear about the loss.

Send a message via AIM to cosmicevan
would definitely be helpful to add details on what the bass was and any identifiable features. instruments have been recovered thanks to TB...

...we'll keep an eye out, but can't unless we know what to look for.

So, what ever happened to your bass? I live a mile away from that skate park, total bummer. Sorry I didn't see this sooner.
What kind of bass was it anyway?

Sorry about your loss, I despise thieves! Which often times makes me wonder when you see what appears to be a really hot (no pun intended) deal on Ebay or craigslist, how do you really know if what you're buying hasn't been stolen...
