Portugal. The Man Gear Stolen - List

STOLEN VAN, TRAILER & GEAR

Portugal. The Man, a rock band based out of Portland, OR had all their gear/van/trailer stolen only a few blocks from Lollapolooza in Chicago where they played just a few days prior. They just found the van this morning but it was empty.

They're a super friendly and incredibly hard working band and I'm sure they would really appreciate it if everyone kept their eyes open. Anything in Chicago or the surrounding area is more likely. You can contact the band through their website if you see anything suspicious.

That sucks, sorry to hear. I hate a thief. Hope they had insurance. In fact, we should ALL have a separate rider for our gear.

This SUCKS. I heard about it this morning on the news...

Seriously, they're the nicest guys ever and one of my favorite bands. Hopefully with the help of the internet and social networking they can get some of their gear back. Chicago is a huge city, but it's not impossible to get some of this back...

Nobody's 81 Precision Special looks like Zach's. It'll be easy to spot when it pops up.

Don't forget the Orange AD200 head and 1966 Mustang bass! (which I didn't even know he used!)

Never heard of this band before, just listened on iTunes. Is the singer a dude or a girl?

Oh ok.

Maybe it was just the song I was listening to lol.

Edit: Nope. lol.

Got a Shannon Hoon/falsetto Robert Plant thing going on.

Yeah, he's got "heavenly" girlie vocals...really talented bunch of guys. Ive been listening to them for years.

Got to meet them once here in Chicago. Some of the most quiet, humble, nicest musicians you'd ever come across. A real shame something like this had to happen to them...

The band did have a female vocalist with them for a year or so, but even band members had a hard time telling her voice from John's falsetto.

I just saw them a few weeks ago, great live set, lots of energy and they also squeeze some fun covers inbetween their originals from time to time. I once saw them finish with an excellent Kinks cover.

Just great musicians and real down to earth nice guys.

i read in one of the many articles about this that they DID have insurance, but it still blows that all of the gear that they worked so hard to buy is gone, and this is the gear that made them famous and got them where they are. I'm not a huge fan, but it's a total bummer. People who steal s*** suck.
