Possibly Stolen - Lefty Fodera Emperor 6-string in AZ?

Sign in to disble this ad
Fodera bass 6-string emperor left handed custom bass

Quote:
The specs on the bass are:
Fodera Emperor Elite (full through neck)
Top wood: Chestnut Burl
Body Wood: Swamp Ash
FB Wood: Maple
Pickups: Bartolini Soapbars
Misc.: 36" scale, Lefty
This seems a bit fishy, so it's either a typo, or stolen. I've contacted the seller about meeting up to check it out.

Anyone heard anything about a missing Fodera 6?

Description matches this ebay auction:
FODERA LEFT HANDED EMPEROR BASS CUSTOM LEFT HANDED | eBay

Quote:
This is a one of a kind Fodera custom six string emperor bass. It was custom made 5/3/95 for Wayman Tisdale (Wayman Tisdale - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

The specs on the bass are:
Fodera Emperor Elite (full through neck)
Top wood: Chestnut Burl
Body Wood: Swamp Ash
FB Wood: Maple
Pickups: Bartolini Soapbars
Misc.: 36" scale, Lefty

To make a new bass like this it would cost over $13,000 and an approximate three year wait. Add to the fact that it is Wayman Tisdale's custom bass, this bass is worth a lot of money. A serious bassist or collector should jump at the opportunity to own this bass.
SERIOUS OFFERS ONLY. The collectors price of this bass is anywhere from 15-20 thousand dollars. It is in excellent condition and plays beautifully. It has a few minor surface scratches from being played, but nothing major. It is a one of a kind, super high quality left handed bass.

I really hope someone who can appreciate the beauty of this artwork of a bass and its history will be able to do more than I am currently doing with it. It deserves to be played.
Would love for a pick up. Then you are sure you get it in the best condition!
Feel free to ask any questions!

I agree! Or I'd just flip the nut and play it upside-down. Or I'd just sell it and get another custom bass.

Stolen Fodera

Yep I smelt "a rat"..... I was ggling for some left handed Fodera , my normal "trawl on d net" , when i believe the 2nd website on the list gave me the full impact of Trojans entering my computer through the backdoor...
Why are Left handed Fodera basses so complicated to deal with...?
Pheonix theives must be thick as two planks!

So, I know that I have no real way of proving my authenticity, other than saying that is my ebay auction that someone stole the information from. This is the third or fourth fraud I have been made aware of, using the pictures and information I posted about my bass. If anyone wants more info, pictures, or is interested in this bass, you should talk to me or send me an email @ humility.is.beatitude@gmail.com. I know the ebay price is high, but I only did that to give people making offers a high cap. So, if anyone wants to know more about this bass, legitimately, talk to me, Ace Waters.

I'll also vouch for Ace. It is definitely in Illinois.
