A bass, I'm assuming. Or anything else worth trying to trace and recover after a theft.

I notice on a lot of eBay auctions, they blur or pixelate the s/n out of the photos. Must be a reason - I'll be curious to hear if it's a legit concern.

Funny, I used to type the s/n into my listing descriptions!

yea.. its for a stingray i have listed on craigslist
the guy wants me to ship it across the us.

someone once told me not to post the serial.. i was like why it isn't stolen.. i didn't get a answer.

another person said he knows you aren't supposed to. but he was dealing with guns.. I imagine you can register serial numbers with someplace.. and if it hasn't been done I imagine someone else can say they own your bass.. but I don't know..

the guy seems legit.. but i have no way of knowing.. last time i did a large deal with paypal my account got locked.. and I did nothing wrong.. (so i had 800$ tied up for a few months) while the other guy had my amp..

would shipping insured cod fix this.. and can you demand they only accept cash on a cod?

I'm a softie (as in "soft" glass - nothing soft about the overhead, tho )

Personally, I'd be reluctant to ship a bass on a craigslist deal. If I wanted to be going trans-continental, I'd be on eBay or TB classifieds.
