Hey all, trying to help out my uncle here, he's bummed out. If anyone from the Beaufort, SC or Savannah / Myrtle Beach areas reads this, please keep an eye out. Also, if anyone has any ideas for websites to keep an eye on let me know. I've checked CL and Ebay, and I don't think the culprits are internet savvy, but if you know of any stores in the area that would carry this sort of thing and maintain their inventory online I'd appreciate a heads' up.
This guitar isn't worth much money, more of a sentimental thing. Dorado (Japanese made). Dark top. Old.
Anyway, I know it's a long shot, but worth a shot. Thanks for reading.
Here's my Uncle's description (warning, might break your heart):
"Sucks about the axe, had it for 30 years. It's a Dorado, rose wood with ivory inlay. 2 circular resonating holes on the body on either side of the neck and the large resonator of course. The hard case is particularly distinguishable in that the front has a hand painted fry pan with the words New Orleans, La. above and Memphis, Tn. below with "Tin Pan" in the middle of the fry pan. I sure miss the 'ol girl. I contacted every pawn shop from Charleston to Savannah right after it happened. Some were helpful, others didn't really give a ****." |
