Stolen Alleva Coppolo Jazz Standard 4 String

Sign in to disble this ad
This bass mysteriously went "missing" whilst in transit from a depot in between LA and Nashville on the 16th or 17th of November. I can't name the shipping company because I'm taking them to court but I thought I'd rely on my TB links to keep an eye out for it in the area and online.

The bass is an Alleva Coppolo 4 string. It has a serial B0011 scratched on the back of the neckplate. It is Sherwood metallic green. It is made out of alder with a rosewood fretboard.

I'd appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Thanks,

Mat

hello, i am the seller on ebay. i know i have 0 feedback, but it is not a scam-account, and i honestly had no idea that it was a stolen guitar. i believe it is the same serial number on mine as on his, and i do know that this is an incredibly rare guitar. I am not the owner of the guitar, and was just selling this guitar as a favor for a friend, the guitarist in my friend's band. he was given this guitar as a gift from a close friend, but doesn't really play the bass very much, he was selling this and was going to purchase a 6-string. I am going to end the ebay auction, and not sell this guitar. i understand that it is most likely the stolen one. also worth mentioning, i am running this ebay account with a friend. i told him not to accept any offers to buy it now, to let it ride out, and he went behind me and started saying he was accepting offers. i am stepping in now and telling him that it is cancelled. i understand that selling stolen items is a very serious crime, and i have no intention of doing it.. even if i had wanted to, i would not do so in such an obvious, open environment. sorry for this block of text, but a lot needed to be said. Original Poster: please contact me with information ASAP, i will need proof that this is in fact yours, receipts of payment, serial number information, a police report from when you reported it stolen, contact information to get in touch with you directly, etc. i deeply apologize for the trouble you've gone through and all of the stress, but rest assured, we will do our best to work with you.

With all due respect.. I asked you in a message on Ebay .. You told me you were the original owner and that if i wanted anymore photos that you would send them..

with all due respect.
And the guitarist was given a Rare and Beautiful bass as a gift? for free?mmmmmm that sounds rather fishy to me...

However I am glad that the person whos bass was stolen is going to get it back.. that is great news.

as i said, i was not the only person with access to the ebay account. i have no idea what was said by them.. and i'm only going off of what i was told. i'm sorry for all of the confusion, and the ineffeciency with which the ebay account was being run. it is/was in our possession though, so we could take more pictures when asked. and the guitarist was given the bass as a gift.. but it was a good friend, and he had given the other guy things before.. so no telling. and I, Neil, was not the owner of the guitar. i'm just trying to do damage control here and return stolen property to the original owner.

Hi guys,

The bass did finally reach the Lowend. Neil did work with me as posted above. The new owner in Japan is completely legit. Thanks again.
