Sign in to disble this ad
This mandolin has a Chocolate brown Varnish Finish
and pearl scroll work in the headstock faceplate.
Waverly Tuners with Pearl buttons, an Allen Chrome Tailpiece and a McIntyre Feather Pickup internally mounted and plumbed to the endpin jack. Lawrence's Signature "ASL" in Pearl is inlayed at the 12th fret.

This mandolin lives in a White Calton Case with a green velvet lining. The case had a Calton Metal Signature Plate on it engraved with the name Johnny Green.

The case has a number of stickers on top including a prominent and large Hinano Beer Sticker, a KKUP Radio Sticker, a KPIG radio Sticker and a Grateful Dead Steal Your Face Insignia among others.

On the bottom of the case, written large in faded black sharpie is Sam Bush's Autograph.

I'm offering $100 for information leading to the recovery of this cherished and heavily played mandolin.

This indtrument was stolen from my car on Sunday, September 18th at around 3 PM on highway 49 on the Amador/ El Dorado County line in Central CA.

When this theft occured I was swimming in the Cosumnes River, no more than 20 minutes after completing a set with my band at a Bluegrass Festival in Plymouth, CA.

Please contact me at 415 407 3384 if you run into this.

(I also play Upright and Fender Jazz Bass).

Found: My Lawrence Smart F5 #124

Found: My Lawrence Smart F5 #124

I am a bit squirrelly about posting this until this mandolin is safely back at home and in my possession...

On my drive home from work last night (exactly one month to the day it was stolen) I received a cellphone call from a bummed out musician who said he'd just put a $300 deposit down on a unique, amazing sounding Smart F5 mandolin at a music store on Auburn Boulevard in Sacramento.

When he got home he fired up his interweb and found my Stolen Mandolin posting at mandolincafe.com. He immediately called me and provided the details on where he'd played it.

I immediately called the store in question and then the Sheriff offices in the county where it was Stolen and in Sacramento.

I'm hoping to get this back by the weekend.

Hopefully with no further drama.

Thanks.
