Hey everyone. I'm from Niagara Falls Ontario.

not logn ago, a guitar teacher from here, recently had EVERY guitar he owned, stolen. I will have a complete list up soon. He is Jeff Bond. And teaches at the Bond School of Music. He had RARE guitars. Like a 69 Strat and such.
I will have a complete list up ASAP. Anyone is the area that sees any rare guitars and looks suspicious, let me know.

Thanks,

Mark

EDIT: Some items:

'69 Strat
Jimi Hendrix Strat
a Beautiful Ibanez Jem, with Vine Inlays, scalloped on upper frets
Classical (Unknown ATM)
A Gibson Les Paul

Others will be posted ASAP.

Man, is it just me, or are there an increasing number of instruments being stolen in Canada?

I've only been a member since early on this year, but I don't remember seeing 3 postings from Canada within the span of 1 month before.

I'm hoping they were insured. If you can post photos it would help. I would advise sending an email to the Toronto music stores - Long & McQuade, Steve's, 12th Fret, Capsule, Songbird, Ring Music. Did I miss anybody?

Not to shift focus here, but I used to play music with a couple of guys, one of which was from Canada. He had one of the early Dolphin basses, and I loved that thing. I offered him lots of cash for it (he was a drummer, so he wouldn't miss it), and he just wouldn't do it. Turns out he used to hang with shady guys, and it was stolen out of Canada not too long before, and he ended up with it. That bass was surrounded by bad karma...I'm glad I didn't end up with it.

WOW, that really sucks. I hope you guys recover at least SOME of the instruments. Nothing pisses me off more than hearing that some idiot (who doesn't play music) stole a bunch of nice instruments. Good luck and may the nasty karma catch up with this/these loser(s).

I am a former student of Jeff's, and haven't talked to him in awhile, but those were some nice guitars with much value attached to them beyond the money.

The 69 strat wsa amazing, and his classical I knew to be quite valuable.

I'm sorry to hear about this, and I will certainly pass on my regards to him in person when I get back in town.
