Ok, it has been quite some time since my stuff was taken, in October 2001, in San Antonio. At the time, before Fender bought Gretsch and started pumping out 6120s, at least the Gretsch guitars were pretty unique. I have looked, and looked, none of this stuff ever surfaced. My bass was pretty unique for the time, before the Sting basses, before the 50's reissues were re-re-issued, the first year of USA Custom Guitars..
Anyway, the very visual one piece ash body on my bass would be sure to get noticed if it were to hit the radar of bass players interested in really nice 51P / Tele Style basses. It was natural, clear coated in nitrocellulose lacquer, which was already starting to crack when it was stolen.
If you know anything, at this point I would probably even buy some of the stuff back, no questions.

Here is the raw wood, before it was finished and assembled. The pickguard that was actually on the bass was a proper fitting (square neck heel) single ply black pearl, not the multi-ply in the pic.
