Exclamation 12 tone Bass Music?

Does anybody know where I can find An Etude or a Dbl Bass solo that uses a 12 tone serila matirix? I need it for an Music Theory assingment. Anything would help me out.

Also I'm new to the boards so: Hi everybody!

do you mean "12 tone serial matrix"? I can't think of a specific piece written as such for bass, but I have no dooubt you could find a Schoenberg or Stravinsky piece played on DB that follows 12 tone serialism if you looked long enough.

Thanks, sorry I was in a hurry so I didn't spell everything right. I'm already looking into Schoenberg, I just wanted to know if anyone had anything specfically for Dbl Bass just off the top of thier head.

Hans Werner Henze's Bass Concerto (Schott) is a classic 12 tone composition. The opening bass statement even gives you the row that is used (without fail) throughout the entire first movement.

Frank Proto has a 12-tone etude book out called Twenty-one Modern Etudes for the Double Bass. Lemur gots it.
