best book ?

My jazz playing friends have me sitting in on the URB for classic jazz tunes. I need a book with the classic tunes and chord changes - any suggestions?

If there is a thread with this info in it, please link me there.

Thanks

I like "The New Realbook" series. The problem I have with fakebooks is that they are based on one definitive version of the song. They always tend to add substitutions and over complicate things. Not for nothing but isn't the fun part coming up with your own chords? Its a drag when you are given a chart and you have to interpret it, dumb it down, and than make it your own, right there on the bandstand. If you look at the original sheet music of the old tunes you never find the changes written out. The best way to learn old tunes is to get the original sheet music and see what the writers had intended and go from there.
