Help with a note!

In a few weeks I am playing "A Deep Song" by John Walter in a recital.
I am stuck on one note it is an open A written with a harmonic sign over the top. I have no idea where this harmonic is?! Help!

Well, there is a harmonic A at the octave position, and the double octave position on your A string, for starters.

I assume you already know how to play harmonics, yes?

yes but I am sure if it meant that harmonic it would be written a couple of octaves higher?

I think that sign can also mean "open" so it could be an open A or even a misprint.
