but what is the highest note one can hit on a 4 string Double Bass ? and Tuned E-A-D-G ?
The highest note without the use of harmonics ofcourse,

It varies from bass to bass from C to E in harmonics. Of coarse when my fingerboard comes in like Edgar Meyer I'll be able to hit every note without harmonics.

I've just about got a C, but it's right on the edge. Be nice to have a D. |

ex: Gliere's Tarantella, Bottesini's Elegy (or anything else, for that matter), etc.
