So far so good... If you don't like the new look don't worry - I'll be adding several 'style options' in the next week which will offer different color schemes, as well as the old post layout with user info on the left.

so far so good, the screen seems wider than a standard 800 pixel screen, it has more horizontal scrolling required than I am used to. Is this on purpose?
It will take me a while to get se to where everything is though. It's like moving into a new house. You know everything is there somewhere, but you don't know where to find it!

Unhappy

fonts all too big! i have to back up to read! aaaaaaa!

also, I can't change the font size, no matter what i set my browser to, they don't change. Seriously, I happen to need "tiny" as a font option, just because I like being able to read a lot without scrolling a lot, but people with 800x600 have to be hatin' life.

Thumbs up

Nice job! Paul - I was starting to suffer from withdrawal symptoms (you know - practicing, socialising, getting out and exercising…)

Thanks again!

Would it be possible to have a "Mark All Posts Read" at the "Search for new posts" level (as in the old bbs) rather than just at the very top of the bbs?

Mark
Looks Great!
More like having a housekeeper and coming in and finding the place all cleaned up and having to look for things because they've been put away.
I might never post but I sure did miss reading while the site was down. Cyn

Everything you've done so far, Paul, has made
TB a better place to "talk bass."

I find the current upgrade to be no exception.

Coming soon. Will raise limits on avatar size, attachment quota, profile pic size, pm box size, etc. Need to work out a pricing schedule and upgrade scheme...

This new layout looks quite good, but I like the old one too...

A customization option seems like a good idea.

This is a feature I'm not sure we'll implement. Basically, a user can join a group, maybe "7-Stringers" or something, to distinguish yourself. The group would have a leader(s) who would decide whether or not to accept the user into the group. What exactly the groups will be or if we'll use them at all I haven't decided yet
